Statewide Activities

What do volunteers do?

Assist veterans with:

. Build models
. Craft projects
. One on one time
· Reading to a veteran
· Walking around the facility
· Walking outside around the grounds
· Assist veterans to and from appointments

Group activities:

. Card party, Bingo, Exercise
· Going to the canteen together.

· Accompanying veterans on out of facility activities.

· Helping to load and unload the bus from an out of facility activity.

· Sometimes all that is needed is for someone to sit quietly with a veteran, to let them know someone is there
