Available Services
Welcome to our various homes and services. Here you can find more detailed information
of our various homes and services available to our veterans and their spouses. If you
need a service officer please use our Office of Veterans Advocacy Link.
Eligibility
Applicants may be peacetime or wartime veterans, with wartime veterans retaining priority admission
status. Applicants must have been discharged under honorable conditions and be a bona fide resident
of the state of Idaho. In addition, applicants must be unemployable as a result of age, illness, or
disability. Effective July 1, 2000, applicants must apply for and become eligible for Medicaid
benefits or must pay the established maximum monthly nursing care charge.
Cost of Care
Veterans may be admitted without regard to their financial status. Nursing care residents admitted
on or after July 1, 2000, must either apply for and become eligible for Medicaid benefits, or must
pay the maximum monthly charge as it may be established from time to time.
Social Services
Social services are designed to help residents do as much for themselves as possible. Community and
in-house services are available to residents. The goal of these services is to help residents reach
their maximum level of independence and thereby maximize their individual sense of self-worth.
Life Enriching Activities
With the assistance and support of various service organizations and individuals, residents enjoy a
variety of in-house activities, programs and outings into the community. Picnics, musical programs, chapel
services, plays, bingo, storytelling and parties are just a few of the recreational activities available.
We celebrate each birthday, special occasion, and anniversary with our residents.
Facilities include game rooms, computer access, libraries, craft rooms, television rooms, chapels,
outdoor patios and gardening areas. Transportation is arranged for off-campus trips and recreational outings.
