Meridian – AI Skills Class for Older Adults

Pleasejoin LEARN Idaho and OpenAI on September 16th for a free, in-person learningexperience designed to help older adults use ChatGPT confidently, safely, andpractically. 

Hostedby the OpenAI Academy in collaboration with Senior Planet from AARP and LEARNIdaho, the AI Skills Jamfor Older Adults is a nationwide, hands-on workshop that helps older adults movefrom curiosity to practical use. Attendees will be guided through instructions,explore everyday use cases, build skills with support from mentors, and leavewith resources for continued learning.

·Beginners welcome: No coding or technical background required. Participants will geta guided introduction to ChatGPT.

·Learn from mentors and peers: Get support from trained OpenAI facilitatorsand mentors, and learn alongside peers in your community.

LEARN Idaho is alocal nonprofit dedicated to helping older adults build the digital skills andconfidence needed to stay connected, informed, and independent. Through ourongoing technology education programs across the Treasure Valley, we see stronginterest in learning how to use AI safely and practically. We’re excited topartner with OpenAI to make this hands-on learning opportunity accessible toolder adults in our community.

This event willbe on September 16th from 9:00am – 12:00pm with an optional Q&A andpractice time until 1:00pm at the Courtyard by Marriott, BoiseWest/Meridian.
